農曆新年雖是華夏文化裡最盛大的傳統節慶，惟各民族之間的習俗及禮儀未必盡是相同。
Although Lunar New Year is the biggest traditional festival in Great Chinese culture, the traditions and ceremonies may not be totally the same between the ethnicities.

於粵族中，廣東人會在新年時於屋裡張貼「福」字，而因廣東話的「到」跟「倒」是同音字（羅馬拼音：dOU3) ，故把福「倒轉」張貼，取「到了」其諧音之意，以希望幸福會到來。
In Yue ethnicity, Cantonese will put the character “good fortune” in the house on Lunar New Year, and because Cantonese pronunciation of “arrives” is the same of “upside down” (Romanizied pronunciation: dOU3), therefore, putting the good fortune “upside down” is the homonym meaning of “arrives”, to hope that the good fortune will come.

不過，千萬別把「倒福」張貼在大門／正門上，否則外面的福氣會「倒逆」走掉的。
However, remember not to put the “upside down fortune” on the main/ front door, otherwise, the good fortune outside will go “backward”.
