夕陽、黃昏｜sUNSET, dUSK

面對不變現實，
美好確是短暫，既無奈也惋惜。
Facing uNCHANGING rEALITY,
sETTING sUN is indeed sHORT-lIVED, It is both hELPLESS and rEGRETFUL.

李商隱（約八一三年至八五八年，晚唐詩人及官員）－《登樂遊原》：
Li Shangyin*₁ (ca. 813-858, poet and official of the late Tang Dynasty) – “A visit to Leyou Garden”*₂:

囧囧囧

向晚意不適，
驅車登古原。
夕陽無限好，
只是近黃昏。
fEELING not well in the eVENING,
Took a carriage to aNCIENT gARDEN.
Setting sUN is infinitely bEAUTIFUL,
Just it is aLMOST dUSK.

囧囧囧

但有終也有始，黑暗將會離去。
黎明接著開始，朝陽再次來臨。
心境隨之改變。
However there are always eNDINGS and bEGINNINGS, and the dARKNESS will lEAVE.
The dAWN will follow to bEGIN and the sUNRISE will cOME again.
The mIND will then cHANGE.

*₁: Li Shangyin’s 22 pomes were collected and published in “The Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty”, which contains over 300 peoms and this “300” is just an estimate number, he’s the 4th big numbers of poems collection of poet.

*₂: Leyou Garden was originally built in the Qin Dynasty (221 to 206 BC) and part of Yichun Palace, its name was given later by the Emperor Xuan of Western Han Dynasty (91-49 BC). The garden is located in ancient Chang’an City (now the southeast of Xi’an) during the Tang Dynasty (618–684 and 705–904) and was a famous tourist attraction for the locals. Because of its high location, visitors could enjoy the scene of Chang’an City and many Tang poets loved there, they left nearly a hundred beautiful poems that have been always praised by people.
